Although we experience our sense of Self as stable, it is constantly changing and being constantly updated. To understand how this happens, our new paper published in Cortex examines how sense of agency (SoA) is modulated by previous trials’ (aka serial dependence) stimuli and judgments, untangling the computational mechanisms allowing us to keep the Self in balance.
