On January 27th, postdoctoral researcher Lisa Simon represented the Salomon Lab at the inaugural conference of the K.M.H. Institute for Research and Development (Community, Meaning, Recovery) at Achva Academic College. The conference, titled “Rising Together, Rebuilding: On Meaning, Community, Trauma, and Recovery,” brought together leading researchers and clinicians to address the psychological challenges facing Israeli society in the wake of ongoing national trauma.
Lisa delivered a talk entitled “Trauma Under Psychedelics: Insights from a Longitudinal Investigation Among Nova Survivors,” presenting findings from the lab’s ongoing longitudinal research tracking survivors of the Nova music festival attack. The talk drew on data highlighting patterns of PTSD vulnerability and recovery trajectories, and explored how psychedelic substances may shape the recovery in the peritraumatic period.
