On November 6th, Prof. Roy Salomon participated in the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin, speaking in the session “Breaking the Walls of Trauma: Psychedelics and Recovery.” The event brought together leading researchers and clinicians to discuss emerging evidence on psychedelic-assisted therapies and their potential role in treating trauma-related disorders. Prof. Salomon joined Dr. Dimitris Repantis (Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin) and Prof. Eric Vermetten (Leiden University Medical Center), who provided expert perspectives on the history and current state of psychedelic-assisted interventions. The session was moderated by Prof. Anat Brunstein Klomek , whose guidance fostered a thoughtful and engaging discussion. As global rates of trauma and stress-related pathology continue to rise, identifying new and evidence-based approaches to treatment has become increasingly urgent. The session highlighted how advances in neuroscience and clinical research may help shape the next generation of interventions for trauma and PTSD.
